Why we built SprayFoamHQ
Search for spray foam information online and you'll find plenty of homeowner cost calculators and lead-gen forms — and almost nothing written for the people who actually run the rigs, source the chemical, and staff the crews. SprayFoamHQ is our attempt to fix that: a hub for the industry, not the homeowner shopping in it.
We're published by a small team with real roots in spray foam contracting — people who've spent time around rigs, distributors, and the day-to-day operational problems that never make it into a marketing brochure.
A few ground rules we hold ourselves to
Substance over speculation
We cite real, checkable sources — regulatory filings, trade association materials, and verifiable industry reporting — and we say when a number is one estimate among several, not settled fact.
Written for the trade
Every guide assumes you already know what a proportioner is. We skip the homeowner cost-calculator framing you'll find everywhere else.
Independent by design
We're not owned by a chemical manufacturer, equipment dealer, or contracting company, and a directory listing is never a paid endorsement unless it's clearly labeled as sponsored.
What SprayFoamHQ is not
- We're not a homeowner quote-request site. If you're a homeowner researching spray foam for your house, our content is written at a trade level and may go deeper than you need — the SPFA's consumer resources or a local contractor are a better starting point for a homeowner-facing quote.
- We're not SPFA, and we don't issue certifications. When we cover programs like SPFA's PCP certification, we're reporting on them as an independent publication, not administering them.
- We're not a paid-placement-only directory. Basic listings are free to submit and reviewed on their merits. Any sponsored or featured placement, if we offer it, will be clearly labeled.
